Box Office Top 10, August 31

After three weeks at #1, Suicide Squad is finally dethroned by the debut of Bad Moms. Ben-Hur did nothing special at #4 while Poi E: The Story of Our Song comes close to being very special by nearing the $1 mil. mark – that’s damn near unheard of for a documentary. Also of note is Kubo and the Two Strings which saw the smallest drop-off percentage this week earning almost as much as it did in its first week (seriously, see that film if you haven’t) and tiny champion Tunnel which – playing on only three screens – got the highest screen average gross with $7,598.
