Flicks.co.nz Reviews & Movie Writers:
Flicks.co.nz movie reviews promise un-biased, honest opinion. On all movie profiles and news articles we invite users to agree, take us to task and add their own views. Reviews are written in light of the movie's intended audience (eg: a kids film - is it good for kids? and is it good for the parents who will take them?).
These are our wonderful writers, bloggers and contributors, the best in the business:

Rebecca Barry
FLICKS.CO.NZ CRITIC
Rebecca is an arts and entertainment writer who often wears dark glasses to the movies (she's a crier). She reviews films for Flicks.co.nz and is a columnist at the New Zealand Herald.

Dominic Corry
FLICKS.CO.NZ CRITIC, BLOGGER
Dominic has been reviewing movies in his head his whole life, and professionally since 2002. He has written about film for tvnz.co.nz,Pulp magazine and has been the Herald on Sunday’s film critic since 2008. He has talked about movies for Breakfast, Sunrise, Headliners and Media 7. He also reviews movies on Thursday mornings on 95bfm under the frankly ridiculous pseudonym of Fabian Fanboy.

James Croot
FLICKS.CO.NZ CRITIC
A man who firmly believes that the mid-1980s were the golden age of cinema, James Croot has been reviewing movies for 16 years. James is currently the chief film reviewer for The Press in Christchurch.

Matt Glasby
FLICKS.CO.NZ CRITIC, UK CORRESPONDENT
Matt is a UK entertainment journalist whose credits include Total Film, Little
White Lies, DVD Review, GQ and Q. He loves cinematic practitioners of the dark
arts (from David Cronenberg to Dario Argento), unhappy endings and being asked if
he's seen anything good recently.

Andreas Heinemann
FLICKS.CO.NZ CRITIC
Andreas is a Flicks.co.nz original. He's written reviews for us since we started paying real money.

Liam Maguren
FLICKS.CO.NZ FEATURE WRITER, BLOGGER
When he was a washed-out Uni student, Liam bombarded the Flicks user movie sections with a bunch of somewhat amusing reviews. We then invited him to be a weekly contributor to the Flicks blog (A Man Of 100 Words) with the promise that we'd eventually pay him. After months of loyal service, we gave him $50 and a couple of movie coupons. We've never seen a man cry so much.

Steve Newall
FLICKS.CO.NZ CRITIC
Steve’s been writing for music and film for over a decade. He's written and appeared on Flicks.co.nz, Real Groove, The Groove Guide, 95bFM, Rip It Up, The Fix, Pavement and TVNZ's Sunrise. He’ll watch damn near anything, but like all smart young fellows has a predilection for the weird, wacky, and incredibly strange. Or just stuff with blood and boobs in it.

Karl Puschmann
FLICKS.CO.NZ WRITER, CRITIC
Karl has been called bad before. Many have said he does things that are not correct to do. He doesn't believe in talk such as this. He believes he is a nice man, with happy feelings. All of the time.

Lily Richards
FLICKS.CO.NZ CRITIC
Lily has written reviews for theatreview.org / currently reviews books on 95bFM's Morning Glory radio show & TVNZ's channel U / is brand manager for Unity Books Auckland / is one half of True Stories Out Loud / and has a blog where she periodically craps on about books: pageeyes.wordpress.com.

Rajneel Singh
FLICKS.CO.NZ BLOGGER
Rajneel is a writer, director and editor in the NZ film and television industry. He has been accused of producing several award-winning short films as well as music videos and commercials, but mostly he spends his days focusing on becoming a full-time curmudgeon. Having lived in five countries before he was 20 and become a self-taught filmmaker after a brief affair with IT, he has successfully deluded himself into thinking that making movies is a pathway to fame, fortune and beautiful women. Subsequently, he is currently developing his first feature film. The poor, dumb bastard.

Ant Timpson
FLICKS.CO.NZ FELLOW
Ant is the man behind a lot of things including but not limited to: V48Hour Furious Filmmaking Competition, Vendetta 24Hour Movie Marathon, MakeMyMovie and the Incredibly Strange Film Festival. Representing Flicks.co.nz, he talks movies every Thursday on Paul Henry's 3pm-6pm show on Radio Live.

Aaron Yap
FLICKS.CO.NZ CRITIC
At an impressionable young age, Aaron was traumatised by Philippe Mora's 1982 monster flick The Beast Within and has never looked back. He started reviewing professionally for the Sunday-Star Times for several years before moving onto Real Groove, then Groove Guide. During the day he buys movies and manages site content for fatso.co.nz. He has also served some time in the pre-NZFF crew of the Incredibly Strange Film Festival, where he learned to value all forms of cinema, devoting equal time to bottom-of-the-barrel trash and the slowest of arthaus endurance tests.
