Rebecca Barry
FLICKS.CO.NZ CRITIC
Rebecca is an arts and entertainment writer who often wears dark glasses to the movies (she's a crier). She reviews films for Flicks.co.nz and is a columnist at the New Zealand Herald.

Dominic Corry
FLICKS.CO.NZ CRITIC
Dominic has been reviewing movies in his head his whole life, and professionally since 2002. He has written about film for nzoom.com, tvnz.co.nz, Top Gear NZ, Pulp magazine and has been the Herald on Sunday’s film critic since 2008. He has talked about movies for Breakfast, Sunrise, Headliners and Media 7. He also reviews movies on Thursday mornings on 95bfm under the frankly ridiculous pseudonym of Fabian Fanboy. He reckons Paul Verhoeven and Brian De Palma are both probably jerks, but they remain his favourite directors, and he would happily sit down for a beer with either one of them. If forced at gunpoint to reveal his favourite films, he would name the following: Vertigo, The Parallax View, Aliens, Talk Radio, Robocop, Midnight Run, Metropolitan, Starship Troopers and Primer.

James Croot
FLICKS.CO.NZ CRITIC
A man who firmly believes that the mid-1980s were the golden age of cinema, James Croot has been reviewing movies for 16 years. Currently the chief film reviewer for The Press in Christchurch, James also has a regular Saturday afternoon slot talking films and football with Radio Live's Graeme Hill and appears each Friday on CTV's Good Living programme. His wide cinematic interests include the documentaries of Werner Herzog, the eclectic oeuvre of Michael Winterbottom and anything featuring Kate Winslet (clothed or otherwise).

Matt Glasby
FLICKS.CO.NZ CRITIC & UK CORRESPONDENT
Matt is a UK entertainment journalist whose credits include Total Film, Little White Lies, DVD Review, GQ and Q. He loves cinematic practitioners of the dark arts (from David Cronenberg to Dario Argento), unhappy endings and being asked if he’s seen anything good recently.

Andrew Hedley
FLICKS.CO.NZ CRITIC, CO-EDITOR

Steve Newall
FLICKS.CO.NZ CRITIC
Steve’s been writing all sorts of things for over a decade - stuff like features with cultural luminaries such as Taika Waititi or The Darkness, a bunch of music writing until it got boring, and talking about himself in the first person here. For the last few years he’s focused on film and telly for Real Groove and The Groove Guide and is stoked to add Flicks.co.nz to the list of media he’s contributed to. Some, like 95bFM and Rip It Up, are somehow coping without him although others sadly didn’t survive his departure (The Fix, Pavement, Sunrise). He’ll watch damn near anything, but like all smart young fellows has a predilection for the weird, wacky, and incredibly strange. Or just stuff with blood and boobs in it.
