For the reason that its obviously a ridiculous idea (president vs. vampires), this movie is worth it for the great action shots and cheap thrills. Think Sherlock Holmes cross League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
Even though the storyline is something you would expect to flop, it makes you think just how much of it actually happened to Abe. History is not my strong suit but watching this makes you double back on what you think you know about his time of reigning the american empire.
Aside from the horrible attempt at making half the cast age by 30 years, and the CGI lacking in some parts, the 3D added a natural feel to the flow of the film. You don't need it but it works. I just couldn't get over the bad-ass axe spinning/passing/flinging which is what makes this movie that little bit different to your usual 1800's vampire killing flick.
Worth a watch to learn about Mr Lincoln, his shady past, and how to (really) use an axe.
