Julio, a struggling writer approaching 30, is unemployed and involved in a half-hearted relationship with his neighbour. When he gets rejected for a job transcribing the work of a renowned author, instead of admitting the truth to his girlfriend he pretends to do the transcription work while actually writing his own story. Searching for a plot, Julio regales her with tales from a romance he had eight years ago when studying literature in Valdivia. As Julio’s novel progresses, so does his fondness for the past and of the love he let slip away. Hide
