WTF...

Bob the builder Nobody (?)

Felt the movie was real average. Too many random scenes, and felt as if the story was rushed...could have been better. Wouldnt put it no where next to superbad !

enjoy it for what it is - a buddy/road movie

amc32 Flicks Superstar (?)

there were a few moments of very good humour, but a few too many moments of trying to make emotional statements about relationships.
the hangover did not bother with those moments and just went for the laughs all the way.
mark kermode on the bbc rates a comedy a success if he laughs out loud 5x or more. i really only laughed 3x i think. glad i saw it, but if ihad waited until seeing it on sky on a sunday evening i would not have felt regret at not seeing it on the big screen.

Get Him To The Greek is much more evolved than its predecessor, Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Brand is most definately the star of the show, and outshins Jonah Hill, who by the way is packing some serious pounds. I cracked up at the Fresh Prince of Bel Air reference and had a sore stomach by the end of the movie. I laughed more in this film than in the first one. It is very funny

There are many awesome one-liners, especially from P-Diddy (Puff Daddy? Diddy? Puffy DiddlyIdly?) well what ever his name is, his acting isnt so good, but the deadpan delivery of his lines and the humor the deliver more than makes up for it.

The story line is actaully pretty easy to follow and the charisma of the lead actors make for a VERY enjoyable and hugely funny film. Have a few beers and go with your mates, but maybe leave Jeffrey at home ( you will get that when you see the movie)! Good times.

A Lorra Lorra Laughs

DaveKeyes B-Grader (?)

I've not laughed so much while watching a film for ages, so this was a genuine treat. I've never liked Russell Brand but in this film in conjunction with Jonah Hill, I warmed to the character within minutes. Hill truly keeps this giving and giving, together with his mild manners and ...vomit? While Brand is given the obvious hedonistic stuff which does suit him very well. P Diddy's plays a great Boss figure n'all.

Really worth checking out with some good-for-a-laugh mates, not taking it too seriously, not minding a somewhat slow ending because it's got a big ol' chunk of crude slapstick brilliance running through it.

Branded brilliant

Candi-Fletcher B-Grader (?)

If you are a fan of Russell Brand, you will love this film. If you're not, well why not? Hilarious. Haven't laughed so much in a movie in a while.

Its a good follow on to Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which you don't have to have seen before hand, but it helps with a few small jokes throughout the movie.

Jonah Hill is also quite funny, in his chubby awkward way.

An enjoyable film - definitely go see it for a few laughs and something not to be taken too seriously.

Oh did I mention - Russell Brand really is brilliant in this film

Not Quite Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Alexis-Jackson A-Lister (?)

For all its nods to Forgetting Sarah Marshall, I felt overall Jason Segal's deft, compassionate touch with the script was missed. However there were some, tears rolling down my face, hilarious scenes- "clench and sneeze" and "furry wall" were absolutely side splitting.
I found Sean Combs turn as an aggressive "mind f*cking" music mogul, initially tired and stereotypical, but once he loosened up and let the crazy in, I enjoyed his latter scenes.
The music video's and interviews with out of control rock stars Jackie Q and Aldous Snow were so clever- I dread to think what the soundtrack will consist of.
Thanks Flicks for a giggle on a cold winter night.

I'd see it again

Johnson B-Grader (?)

In standard fashion there's a heap of stuff in the trailer that ain't in the movie.
Sharp dialogue, razor satire on celebrity culture. laugh-minute whilst still maintaining overarching character journeys.

i'd certainly watch this one again.

Bloody hilarious

Le_Dude Wannabe (?)

Great movie. Plenty of laughs. Storyline not so strong but who cares when you're rolling around the floor in fits of laughter. P-Diddy was surprisingly outstanding in his role as Sergio the Record label exec. Jonah Hill and Russell Brand were both excellent.

Very funny flick. Go see it.

Awesome Stuff!

Mark-Westerby1 Nobody (?)

I was a big fan of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, so was expecting a lot of this film - and it delivered, side-side-splittingly funny with some great musical numbers too! Nice work from Russell Brand and Jonah Hill.

Better than FSM

AnakininNZ Nobody (?)

I thought this was better than Forgetting Sarah Marshall - less angsty and definitely less of the awkward cringe inducing humour. This movie mostly just played for laughs and it was successful at getting them. Should have left some of the relationship wrap up on the cutting room floor though - it detracted at the end. Worth watching especially if you like Russell Brand.

Good Movie but can wait till DVD

Rachel-M Nobody (?)

It was a very funny movie and Russell Brand played himself very well and he made for a very liakable character.

A few "OMG" moments and overall a good laugh but would wait until it hits DVD as it is not a fantastic movie

Terrible movie! Shows this world has really gone to a new low. Very lost. Did laugh at one liner - oooh I would kiss her face but that was it. I was rather repulsed and wanted to refund my ticket.

Honestly...

BrionyJae Flicks Superstar (?)

I have to be honest, I couldn't bring myself to watch the whole lot. Perhaps I just wasn't in the mood for this type of movie... but honestly? It wasn't as funny as it could have been, or should have been! I mean, it sounds good on paper...

Forgotten Sarah Marshall?

adamatdramatrain Flicks Superstar (?)

Hmmm, this sounds familiar... a young up and comer in the music biz is charged with getting a famously drunken and drugged up rock star to a comeback concert and comic chaos ensues... Anyone recall Richard Benjamin's "My Favorite Year" (1982)? It starred Peter O'Toole as Alan Swann (a character based on Erol Flynn) a drunken matinee idol who is to appear on a live 1950's U.S. TV show. Young Benjy Stone (a character based on Mel Brooks) is the TV show's junior writer who is charged with getting the drunken movie star to the TV show... Easier said than done!

And just like "My Favorite Year" the idea is fine and delivers a few fun scenes (notably Jonah Hill tripping out and cuddling furry wallpaper...) and some nice back n forth between stars Jonah Hill and Russell Brand, but it's all pretty tired. Hats off to Sean 'P. Diddy' 'Puff Daddy' Combs who does a great turn as a music mogul - simultaneously playing and poking fun at himself. As a stoner farce it works well, but it's no great shakes. For pure rock comedy give me SPINAL TAP every time! Mind you, it's better than FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL - so 3 stars for being a spin-off that beats its original hands down :)
