a really great movie...it covers a very important and serious topic while still managing to be uplifting and it definitley has the WOW factor. See it. Its great! Well acted, really well presented and if you dont see this, you're missing on of the awesomest films in a long time...
Ive read the book and couldnt put it down, the trailer does the book great justice. Its an excellent book and I do not doubt that the movie will be just as good, if not better. However, I have heard the ending is different... =(
I can't put it down... even when I'm at work haha. Trailer looks awesome. I have also heard that the end is different.
my mum saw it in oz and cried as it reminded her of our own tragic loss with our daughter in 2005. she had cancer and was a fighter till the end. i know i will be very upset watching this movie but mum said it is beautiful and cameron diaz is amazing. cancer is a monster and it cripples and kills beautiful people every day. i know my mum would give it a 5/5. and my heart cant break much more as it is already broken
What is going on here? This was a cliche-ridden sob-fest about as moving as a loaf of bread. Avoid
I read the book and thought it was amazing.... defo recommend
going to see movie 2 nite and i think it will be great
Girls seem to like this movie, probably it is because of the book. The movie has a different ending apparently, more inline with perceptions of reality being somehow just or fair. Cameron Diaz also likes this movie.
Therefore Cameron Diaz must be a girl. My logic is infallible.
This film might be the only thing worse than actually having cancer.
I found this movie so real! it captures the emotions and problems that people encounter with cancer..I found it very emotional and could relate to it as my best friend was in the same situation as Kate. It seemed so real and brought back many memories.. Defiently welldone its good to see a movie which you can relate to and shows the true effects that cancer can have on family...It also gives others whom may have not lost anyone to cancer to get an insight to what some people go through. after i watched this i couldnt help myself but give a donation to cancer research ;)
I expected this movie to just what it is. Lightweight and not true to the book (which was great - my advice - read the book and skip the movie)
This could've been one of the best adaptations of a book. The casting was perfect, the acting fantastic. They even cut out the right parts of the book to fit this original story into a movie. BUT WHY CHANGE THE ENDING?! The ending is the ESSENCE of the book and is what makes it ORIGINAL and DIFFERENT to every other 'cancer themed' story. Total Hollywood copout and ruined the whole movie. Absolutely gutted and immensely disappointed.
This is an amazing movie and the trailer really highlights all the best parts and leaves you in tears it really opens your eyes to the less fortunate people who have to suffer more than alot of us put together it is so overwhelming...:(
I read the book some time ago and was totally blown away by the ending. Never saw it coming. Why on earth would the author have agreed to changing the ending? BIG LET DOWN.
