Beauty And The Beast Goes 3D
Beauty and the Beast producer Don Hahn and directors Kirk Wise and Gary Trousdale are giving the 1991 Disney animated classic a Digital 3D makeover. The film was actually nominated for a Best Picture oscar back in the early 90s, but lost to The Silence of the Lambs.
The project, Disney's eleventh 3D feature, will use the film's original computer files to create a new Disney digital 3D version.
Re-rendering the film is expected to take 10 months. A 2010 release is expected.
