Corey Haim 1971 - 2010
The Lost Boys star Corey Haim has passed away at the age of 38.
He left this world via Providence St. Joseph Medical Centre in Burbank, California. No cause of death has yet been given, although an accidental drug overdose has been rumoured.
Haim made his feature debut in 1984's Firstborn, then went on to more major roles in Steven King werewolf adptation Silver Bullet, followed by Murphy's Romace, Lucas, License to Drive, Dream a Little Dream, and more recently, Crank: High Voltage.
Haim was best know for his role as young Sam Emerson, starring opposite Kiefer Sutherland in vampire classic The Lost Boys.
Low points included ongoing drug addictions, filing for bankrupcy in 1997, and having an indie rock band call The Thrills write a song in 2004 called Whatever Happened to Corey Haim?
Infamously, Haim took out a full-page advert in Variety in 2008, which read, "This is not a stunt. I'm back. I'm ready to work. I'm ready to make amends."
Corey Haim was sometimes confused with his best buddy, Corey Feldman (the star of The Goonies and Stand By Me). The pair recently starred in two series of a reality show called The Two Coreys.
imdb.com shows Haim had at least nine films in preproduction or nearing completion.
