Emma Stone as Spider-Man's Gwen Stacy

Following on from the recent first look of the fully costumed amazing Spider-Man, we can now bring you the first look of a fully rained on Gwen Stacy.

To bring non-Spidey fans up to speed, Stacy is Peter Parker's (aka Spider-Man) college girlfriend. As The Amazing Spider-Man is a series reboot that focuses on Parker's teenage years Mary Jane Watson isn't around.

Some paparazzi shots of this scene surfaced online a month or so ago but this is the first reported movie still of Emma Stone in full Stacy regalia.

So what's going on? Well, all we know is that she's being rained on, she's at a funeral and she's standing in front of a cathedral.

Whose funeral? Don't know. But we can safely assume it's not her own as she is in fact standing there mourning and looking very much alive.

The Amazing Spider-Man is due for release July 3, 2012.
