Four Featurettes From Wes Anderson's 'Moonrise Kingdom'
Those excited about Wes Anderson's next film Moonrise Kingdom (and there are plenty that won't be, but I'm not one of you anti-quirk naysayers) can enjoy these four deadpan featurettes, presented by cast member Bob Balaban, each observing a different actor in action - Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Edward Norton and Wes Anderson himself.
The film is set to open the Cannes Film Festival tomorrow but we won't be seeing it until it opens here on 30 August (although we'd be very surprised if it wasn't part of the NZ International Film Festival which begins in July).
The comedy drama is set in the summer of ’65 where two 12-year-old lovebirds run away together into the wilderness. When news breaks that two kids have gone missing, the district starts to flip. With the local sheriff (Willis), the girl’s parents (Murray and Frances McDormand) and a Khaki Scout troop leader (Norton) all trying to stabilise the situation, the search threatens to capsize when a violent storm begins to brew off-shore.
