Franco Dons Prosthetic Penis
James Franco (Pineapple Express, Spider-Man) has revealed to Flawed Hollywood that both he and Sean Penn will don prosthetic penises for the upcoming biopic Milk, which Gus Van Sant is directing.
Milk tells the story of San Francisco activist and politician Harvey Milk (Penn), the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in America in 1977. In the film Franco plays one of Milk's lovers. Josh Brolin and Emile Hirsch also star.
Franco recounts a time during filming when he had to jump into a pool naked. Penn was in admiration of Franco’s parts, so Franco asked him "you wouldn't do a scene like this if they asked you, you wouldn't dive into a pool naked?", Penn responded, with a sly grin, "James, if I was built like you, I would."
Later on, when they were filming a scene where both were dancing and naked (and both had prosthetics on), Penn realised Franco had been donning a massive prosthetic throughout all his naked scenes. Oh, how they laughed.
