Freddy Mercury Biopic Has A Director...
Hell yes. Landed a director.
...and his name is Stephen Frears. He's the chap who directed High Fidelity, Tamara Drewe and (irony alert) 2006's The Queen.
According to Variety, the Oscar-nominated director will helm the film biopic of the legendary rock musician, with Sacha Baron Cohen (The Dictator) taking the lead role. An ingenious piece of casting, IMHO.
The flick is still untitled, but here's a list of possible names that I'm just gonna throw out there:
The Queen and I
Biopic Rhapsody
Mercury Rising 2
I expect my cheque in the mail tomorrow morning, Hollywood.
