Hasbro, Sony And Happy Madison Set To Make 'Tonka Truck' Movie
Because Hasbro likes money, they have teamed up with Sony Pictures Animation and Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions to make an animated feature on Tonka Trucks. Ya know, the big yellow plastic toy truck that's heavy of toughness and light on character.
According to the press release, screenwriter Fred Wolf will be handling the script (who penned such classic as Joe Dirt and Grown Ups).
Hasbro has demonstrated a desire to adapt their toys to the big screen, no matter how plotless or devoid of personality the product may seem (Battleship). Risk and Candy Land are also in their pipelines, with Sony attached to both and Happy Madison tied to the latter.
