M83 Providing The Score Tom Cruise's Sci-Fi Epic 'Oblivion'
Director Joseph Kosinski has got M83’s Anthony Gonzales to score his next sci-fi flick Oblivion, starring Tom Cruise. Kosinski collaborated with Daft Punk for the incredible orchestral score to TRON: Legacy. Hopefully, if this soundtrack becomes as astonishing as it could be, the Academy won’t snub it this time.
"I'm not afraid to do my first soundtrack on a big Hollywood movie, with a big budget and a lot of pressure... I like challenges and it excites me more than frightens me," Gonzalez told the Playlist.
The film follows a man sent to an alien planet tasked with committing genocide to the inhabitants. But this morally questionable objective has him questioning his mission, the planet and his very being.
Oblivion is set to hit theatres next April.
