SUCKER PUNCH (watch trailer)
Described as 'Alice in Wonderland with machine guns', this is the latest visual feast from director Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300). Features a bevy of babes, including Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish and Vanessa Hudgens. Opens March 24, 2011.
LET ME IN (watch trailer)
A US remake of the brilliant Swedish vampire film Let the Right One In, which Flicks.co.nz voted as the best film of 2009 and the 13th best film of the decade. This looks very similar, actually, so we're quite intrigued. Opens October 14.
TRON: LEGACY (watch trailer)
A further look at what is shaping up to be the coolest-looking sci-fi adventure flick of the year. Includes a glimpse at a creepily de-aged Jeff Bridges, plus plenty of neon lights and ominous music. Opens December 16.
DEVIL (watch trailer)
Five people trapped in a lift, and one of them is the devil! But which one? Based on a story by M. Night Shyamalan (director of The Sixth Sense and other, less successful projects). Opens December 2.
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST 3D (watch trailer)
That's right, the Disney's animated classic from 1991 is coming back to the big screen, this time in three dimensions. Great flick with or without the 3D, we reckon. Opens August 12 exclusively at Hoyts Cinemas.
RED (watch trailer)
Second trailer for this action-comedy about a bunch of retired CIA agents. Stars Helen Mirren, Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and Kiwi Karl Urban. Opens October 28.
AVATAR 3D: SPECIAL EDITION (watch trailer)
You didn't think the biggest movie of all had left you alone, did you? It's back, with eight brand new minutes of footage, including new creatures and action scenes. If you were one of the three people that missed it last time, you'll have another chance from August 26.
DIARY OF A WIMPY KID (watch trailer)
A family comedy following Greg, a wise-cracking teen tasked with surviving the hardest years of one’s life: intermediate school. Opens September 23.
RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE (watch trailer)
The fourth instalment of the Resident Evil series, Milla Jovovich is back in a world ravaged by a viral infection that turns its victims into the Undead. December 2.
SOMEWHERE (watch trailer)
Hipsters rejoice, for Sophia Coppola (Lost in Translation) has a new film. It's about a hard-living Hollywood actor (Stephen Dorff) who has an unexpected visit from his 11-year-old daughter (Ella Fanning). No release date yet.
