Cage, Eastwood, Ford and Snipes on 'Expendables 3' Hit-list
The testosterone-powered sequel to the 80s throwback The Expendables hasn’t even exploded into theatres yet, but they’re already planning to make it into a trilogy. Their casting call looks even more ambitious this time around too, according to Total Film.
They’ve convinced Nicolas Cage to jump on board (not like he’d say no) and have approached both Clint Eastwood and Harrison Ford. They’re currently in the talking stage, though I imagine they’ll have a harder time convincing Clint than Ford.
Producer Avi Lerner is also showing interest in current prison inmate Wesley Snipes, but I guess he’s having trouble meeting him during visiting hours. Snipes is due for release July next year.
The Expendables 3 hasn’t actually been given the all-clear yet. But let’s face it: Lionsgate like money, so it’ll happen. The Expendables 2 releases in NZ cinemas August 30.
