Here are some posters for superhero flick Green Lantern (opens June 16 next year).
Ryan Reynolds plays cocky Hal Jordan, a hotshot pilot who becomes entrusted with an all-powerful ring and membership of a galactic group of green-clad cops whose job it is to keep the peace in the universe.
The Kiwi connection to this movie includes director Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) and actors Temuera Morrison and Taika Cohen. Other actors include Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Tim Robbins and Blake Lively.

Looks like an interesting movie.

From what I've seen of the artwork coming out of the studio, the art directions looks terrible. Also, the lack of care/ interest/ involvement shown by the cast during interviews ... didn't inspire me. As someone who grew up reading Green Lantern comics, I'm likely to be a tough critic... I just want this to be awesome and catch the spirit & story of a character (as Iron Man & Dark Knight managed to). If this goes the way of the Fantastic Four or Spiderman 3, it'll be a damn damn shame.
