Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy To Star In Buddy Cop Film
Oscar-noted funny ladies Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids) and Sandra Bullock (The Blind Side) are teaming up with director Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, again) for a buddy cop flick. Bullock plays an extremely stern officer while McCarthy is an unconventionally goofy law-enforcer that somehow manages to get results. They partner up to take down a Russian drug dealer... or something generic like that.
Really, we're just in it for the laughs, and the pairing is almost destined to work. Sandra Bullock is no stranger to crime-centric comedies (Miss Congeniality) while Feig and McCarthy are no strangers to each other (Bridesmaids, for a third time). Let’s just hope the script is more of a Lethal Weapon and less of a Cop Out.
