Sir Ian McKellen To Perform His One-Man Show All Over The Country

New Zealand's favourite wizard Sir Ian McKellen will be taking his one-man theatre show Ian McKellen On Stage with Shakespeare, Tolkien and You! on tour throughout Aotearoa.

The show seems to be a unique combination of self-biopic, free-range Q & A and Gandalf's greatest hits. The theatrical experience will be kept fairly loose, with audience participation being heavily encouraged and a Kiwi flavour being strongly emphasised.

"Basically, it'll be a party," proclaims Sir Ian. Totes rad.

Magneto hopes to raise funds for Christchurch's Issac Royal Theatre, which is in dire need of repair. The legendary actor has a strong bond with the theatre, having performed in Samuel Beckett's Waiting For Godot there.

McKellen shall pass (heh heh) through Hamilton this Saturday, making his way down to Tauranga, Nelson and back up to Auckland, before coming full circle back down to Christchurch.
