Spielberg To Remake Oldboy

Steven Spielberg is in "early discussions" with Will Smith to remake Korean flick Oldboy. The movie concerns a fellow who is locked in a room for a long time, then gets out and is allowed access to a hammer (an unwise choice, it turns out). We're leaving a blank space below where you may scrawl your disgusted horror at Hollywood remaking such a uniquely edgy classic directly onto the screen:
