'Sucker Punch' Actress To Play Joanna Mason In 'Catching Fire'
Collider reports that Jena Malone (Rocket from Sucker Punch) has landed herself the role of Joanna Mason in Catching Fire, the sequel to the ridiculously successful The Hunger Games.
In the book, Joanna was the previous victor of the Hunger Games, residing in District 7. She is forced to compete with other former champions in another grand fight-to-the-death, along with Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and Hamish (Woody Harrelson).
As hilarious of a failure that Sucker Punch was, I found Rocket to be one of the only good things about that film, making me even angrier when they killed her off. She impressed me in a largely unimpressive film, so I’m excited to see her in The Hunger Games cast.
