'Takes' Short Film Festival Looks To Showcase Local Talent
Local film enthusiasts Jessica Joy Wood (Sione’s 2) and Carl Dixon (TVNZ’s Amazing Extraordinary Friends) have imported their monthly short film festival Takes from London to Auckland, and they’re searching for Kiwi-made shorts to screen. The next offering takes place June 28th at Kingsland’s Nectar Bar.
"Kiwis really know how to make a great short," Jess proclaims. "There is a great combination of grittiness and humour that I love."
Carl adds “So many great short films sit gathering dust on a shelf or hidden away in a drawer, we want to provide a platform for these films to do what they’re supposed to – be seen!”
