Just three months ago Javier Bardem signed on to voice Despicable Me 2's villain El Macho - an evil genius with three sons who would battle Steve Carrel's character and his three daughters - but now he has walked from the project. No reasons have been cited for why Barderm bailed, but the hunt for a replacement has begun.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the three leads of The Hangover franchise (Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms) have combined to form a giant negotiating Voltron whose sole function in life is to command US$15million a head for them to return for a third Hangover movie. While that's a lot of cheddar and a hefty raise (they got under US$1mil each for the first and around $5mil each for the second) sources tell the Reporter that the deal is almost a certainty. "It'll happen," an insider said. "[the series] is a proven commodity, which is rare these days."

Uggie, the Jack Russell that stars in The Artist and stole the show at the Golden Globes is going to retire after his rumoured Oscars appearance. "We don't force our dogs to do this," Uggie's trainer Sarah Clifford told the Hollywood Reporter. "It always has to be fun for them. Uggie's still enjoying it but he's getting up there and he's slowing down a little." The star is aged 10, which is mid-70s in dog years.

Demi Moore has left the Amanda Seyfried starring Linda Lovelace biopic Lovelace due to her "seeking professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health". While Moore is out, Chole Sevigny has just signed on. Sevigny will play a freelance journalist on an assignment to "find out who the real Linda Lovelace is".

TMZ is reporting breaking news that Armie Hammer, the star of Johnny Depp's upcoming Lone Ranger film, has been arrested for marijuana possession in Texas. Doesn't he know that drugs are bad, mmmkay.
