Variety bring word that James Marsden, Thomas Jane and Billy Bob Thornton have signed on thriller Red Machine. Marsden and Jane play brothers on a camping trip who find themselves menaced by a large, angry and presumably red grizzly nicknamed the Red Machine by the bear expert and hunter Billy Bob Thornton, who attempts to rescue the bros.  

Awards! These Films Got Some In London...
The London Critics Circle have handed out their awards. The Oscar front runner The Artist cleaned up collecting awards for Film Of The Year, Director Of The Year and Actor Of The Year (for Jean Dujardin). Iran's Oscar entry A Separation took home Best Foreign Film Of The Year, Best Screenplay Of The Year and Best Supporting Actress Of The Year (Sareh Bayat). The London critics reckoned the Best British Film Of The Year was We Need To Talk About Kevin.

The adaptation of Irvine Welsh's novel Filth has just signed on some more actors. Jim Broadbent and Imogen Poots have joined the cast which includes James McAvoy and Jamie Bell. The story is about an extremely corrupt copper in Edinburgh.

The producer of 300 and Immortals are has announced plans to adapt the five-issue graphic novel Atlantis Rising. Described as a "sci-fi, political, techno thriller", the story is about a ten millennia old undersea civilisation that rises to battle the world's military. MSN report that it is planned to become a franchise.

Kristen Wiig Signs On To Film That Isn't 'Bridesmaids 2'
The Hollywood Reporter have the scoop that Kristen Wiig has signed on The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty. The film, which stars Ben Stiller in the lead role of Walt, is an adaptation of the short story of the same name and is about a magazine photo manager who ends up on an adventure after misplacing a photo negative. Wiig will play Stiller's love interest.

AICN have discovered that Chuck Norris only agreed to star in Sly's action-hero extravaganza The Expendables 2, if all the cussing was cut. AICN translated a foreign interview in which Norris said, "In Expendables 2, there was a lot of vulgar dialogue in the screenplay. For this reason, many young people wouldn't be able to watch this. But I don't play in movies like this. Due to that I daid I won't be a part of that if the hardcore language is not erased. Producers accepted my conditions and the movie will be classified PG-13". Sly later confirmed this and the PG-13 rating as being accurate info.
