The 3PM Dispatch Monty Python, Death Wish, Jay & Silent Bob
Monty Python Reunite For New Film. Ni.
Good news comedy fans, a new Monty Python film is in the works. Kind of. Former Python's John Cleese, Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin have all signed on to star in Absolutely Anything, a new sci-fi comedy based on a story by director -and ex-Python - Terry Jones. The film will be a mixture of live action and CGI and is about a group of aliens who muck about with an earthling for their own amusement. The only Python who is yet to sign on is Eric Idle, who, according to the film's producer, "knows about the project," but is yet to confirm his involvement.

Jay Responds To Our Campaign To Bring Him And Kevin Smith To New Zealand!
We're extremely excited to report that our tireless Twitter campaign to convince Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith to bring their Jay And Silent Bob Get Old show to New Zealand after they wrap in Australia has been gaining some serious momentum. Over the weekend Jason Mewes himself tweeted us with the message that he "would love to" come here and, in another tweet to Flickster and fellow campaigner @Xenojay, he said, "I hope we make it there." This is incredibly awesome.
Jay Mewes also gave us the twitter handle of the chap who can make it all happen, so if you'd like to see Jay and Silent Bob here in NZ get tweeting to @thisguyjeff with the hashtag #KevinandJaycometoNZplease and be sure to include @JayMewes @ThatKevinSmith @FlicksNZ in your message.
And finally, a huge thanks to all of you who have already taken to Twitter to lend your support to the campaign. Kudos!
Today In Bring This To New Zealand: Here's a bootleg of Jay And Silent Bob Get Old at New York Comic Con last year. Listen to the crowd laughing. That could be our laughter folks! Get tweeting!
*NSFW and there's lots o' cussing so kids, close your ears.
Today In Trivia: Charles Bronson's character's name in Death Wish is Paul Kersey. The name belonged to an extra who allowed the usage of his name in exchange for being allowed to star in every possible scene in the film that required an extra.
