The V48Hours Grand Final To Screen In, erm, 48 hours.
At the time of writing, it's more like 55 hours, but whatevs.
The grand final to our nation's biggest filmmaking competition is almost upon us (this Saturday, 30th of June, 8pm at the Auckland Civic Theatre), and you should totally get your tickets now.
Internationally renowned cinema gurus are gearing up to judge the select 13 short films that have made it through the rigorous elimination process - including Tim League (Alamo Drafthouse and Fantastic Fest director), Larry Karazewski (screenwriter of Ed Wood) and Elijah effing Wood!
Every year, the collection gets better, so logically, this year's lot will be the best yet. There's a notable number of new entrants in the 2012 final, but we're also seeing a number of familiar faces, including:
Lense Flare, who were last year's national runners up...
Animation titans Mukpuddy, playing the Peter Jackson wildcard for their second year in a row...
And 2010 champions thedownlowconcept, the lads behind TV3's 7 Days and the NZ comedy Hounds.
