HAZ, EXPLAIN YOURSELF...

"I like to watch anything that ain't B-grade. They've been making these a lot of these lately and they're such bullsh*t. I've watched a sh*t-load of movies in the last two years and I can honestly say that any film that gets the 'film festival' stamp of approval I will definitely be watching! I used to be a big horror fan but they just make bullsh*t horrors these days. My nephew won’t even watch it nor get scared. Anything foreign with a good plot I'll watch."

La Haine, Movie

La Haine

1995

"I was 14-15 years old when I first watched this and was captured by the raw 'gutterness' of the film being in black and white, but the whole film had French subtitles and I couldn't understand a damn thing it was on about. I understood it more after re-watching it when I was 19 or 20 and could relate to how f*cked up the World was back in those days. A story set in the French 'burbs over a 24 hour span - three friends with a gun in their possession and a vow to kill a cop if their mate dies from Police beatings. The acting is so dope and it doesn't look fake at all. The actors play their parts like a ninja and kill every scene. Definitely worth the 98min run time. Instant classic in my opinion."

The Gods Must Be Crazy, Movie

The Gods Must Be Crazy

1980

"I was a young kid when I first watched this and I couldn't stop laughing like a screaming hyena. Shit is funny as f*ck. I think this is the film they got the term 'village idiot' from. If you haven't seen this then you haven't really lived your life. The actors are legit as and I hope rich as f*ck after doing two of these movies. They don't make comedies like they used to. That sucks!"

Cheech & Chong's Up In Smoke, Movie

Cheech & Chong's Up In Smoke

1978

"Being a big stoner person I think this movie was the tipping point in my career of becoming a full-time pot head. I could watch this film a million times high and still not get sick of it, so I guess it has some meaning to me. I smoked my very first bucket bong to this film and one time I had a threesome high as f*ck. Typical stoner film I know, but it gave me more laugh for my bud (if that made any sense). Other stoner films were not stoner enough or just plain boring and serious."

Oldboy, Movie

Oldboy

2003

"Some f*cked up Korean thriller that will leave you pussies under the sheets just with the torture scenes. I love this movie. The acting is dope and the plot of the movie will mind f*ck you over two times. If you're worried about reading subtitles get over it. Watch a foreign movie some time. They beat most other bullshit they have in the cinemas any day. For f*cked up-ness and sick torture scenes this whole movie is f*cked in the head. I can’t say anymore but watch it for yourself. Me talking about it doesn't do it justice."

American Me, Movie

American Me

1992

"This is one of my favourite 'gangster' or 'prison' movies. The storyline is more interesting than the other gang related films I've seen over my years. A sad story about being in prison for 30 years and wanting to change... losing his powers and his gang for change. Blah blah blah, same old story yeah I know, but it's set differently, it is realism with a great ending. Should be known for what it is, and that's a great film. If you want to see a life perhaps very different to yours, depicted with uncommon honesty, watch this film. I like to call it 'The Mexican Godfather'."
