Early word from those who've seen Skyfall suggests director Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Jarhead) does his stellar reputation proud with Bond 23. When 007 is presumed dead, the Secret Service is plunged into a state of immense vulnerability when a list of every undercover MI6 agent is publicly leaked, putting M’s leadership ability under question.
There was a bit of a mixed response to 007’s last outing Quantum of Solace, a film not helped by the writers' strike (as Daniel Craig succinctly puts it "we were f*cked"). Benefiting from a less rushed and more professional writing and pre-production process, Skyfall doesn't just promise great action - good ol’ fisticuffs on top of a moving train, explosive car chases and massive set piece in the London Underground - but also a distinctively foreign villain with awesomely terrible hair.
