Built as part of Westfield Newmarket's $790 million redevelopment in 2020, this state-of-the-art 7-screen complex features recliners in every theatre, the latest in digital laser projection and Dolby Surround Sound.
It’s home to two VMAX screens (massive screens with stadium seating as well as a limited number of fully reclined daybeds) and two themed boutique theatres. The boutique auditoriums - called the The Library and The Gallery - are billed as New Zealand’s most “instagrammable”. They sit 40 each in luxurious leather recliners, and offer food and beverage table service.
Event Westfield is licensed and features two full-service bars.
Getting Here, Map & Parking
Park at Westfield - Green Carpark, Level 4, entrance on 309 Broadway. You get two free hours with the Westfield Plus app, plus an additional two hours free using the validation machines in the cinema foyer.
If you're bussing, take the Inner or Outer Link, or the 30, 70, 75, 751, 781 bus lines go through Newmarket.
If you're on the trains, get off at Newmarket. It's a two minute walk across Broadway.

Cheap Tuesdays
If you're an Event Cinebuzz member, on Tuesdays, standard ticket prices drop to $13.50, premium recliners to $18.50, VMAX standard seats to $17.00, and VMAX recliners to $24.00.
Discounts are available for students, seniors and children.
