There’s a real strand of youthful hope running through ... a compelling piece from the current Jeune Cinema trend in French Cinema.
Full reviewThe romantic and existential dramas of French 30-somethings form this indie drama, following three former art students falling in and out of love in Paris.
Arman (Vincent Macaigne) and Amelie (Maud Wyler) have a chance meeting that leaves Arman smitten. Arman’s pal Benjamin (Bastien Bouillon), meanwhile, is recovering in hospital after suffering a stroke, which presents a silver lining when he falls for his physical therapist. The years pass via the movie's succession of short chapters, and the trio share their experiences with frequent comments addressed to the audience.
