Reviews & comments

Variety
pressThis is awfully soft stuff, its navel-gazing protagonist not nearly as unusual or delightful as we're meant to think despite the high IQ she can't stop referencing.

The Guardian
pressThis is, ultimately, a very happy and upbeat film, and one with a very clear moral center.

Screen Daily
pressThis is not a film which challenges the stereotypes of teen coming of age movies. However the dialogue is sharp, and Powley's comic timing is well-tuned.

Hollywood Reporter
pressA well-intentioned but imperfect young-adult-skewing comedy-drama.
