The way it plays out is both watchable and plausible. Yet the movie doesn't shake us to our souls.
Full reviewEight-time Oscar-nominee Glenn Close plays Deb, the mother of drug-addicted daughter Molly (Mila Kunis), in this drama based on a true story.
In order to live a life free from substance abuse, Molly must first get through four crucial days of being clean. For Deb, this means watching over her child without overstepping boundaries. However, with the threat of relapse hanging above them, as well as the general frustrations of moving back with your parents, the coming days will put their relationship to the ultimate test.
Directed and co-written by Rodrigo Garcia who previously worked with Close in 2011's Albert Nobbs, 2005's Nine Lives, and 2000's Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her.
