Gravity 3D

Gravity 3D

Sandra Bullock and George Clooney star as two lone astronauts stranded in the terrifying expanse of space after satellite debris wipes out their shuttle. Winner of seven Academy Awards, including Best Director for Alfonso Cuarón (Children of Men).

Dr. Ryan Stone (Bullock) is on her first shuttle mission while Matt Kowalsky (Clooney) is in command of his last flight before retiring. On a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes and the shuttle is destroyed leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone – tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. All links to Earth are lost and their oxygen supply gradually empties. As panic sets in, the pair realise the only way home may be to go further out...

Out of this world

3D version of this picture looked stunning, and the ride was very cool!! Sandra Bullock sucked me in to the story, and George was charming-but not really given the meaty role, this was passed to Sandra whom I thought did an amazing job with the role she was given.

As good as they say

Superb film. I've never seen anything like it. The story is tense & dramatic (sorry to The Embassy for the nail marks in the arm rests) and Bullock is superb. However, the best thing about Gravity (and I can't believe I'm saying this) are the 3D effects. An epic film & one you really should see on the big screen.

Big Screen Bonanza

Sandra Bullock puts in a fine performance in this breathtaking thriller, which really deserves to be seen on the biggest screen you can find (IMAX if possible). The plot is very easy to follow and despite a few lulls, the intensity and fear you feel is very real. I certainly don't want to go into space anytime soon!

Original, daring film making

No safe bets on moviemaking here! Take the absolute minimum of a cast, take the simplest plot arc possible, then make a movie where everything is down to just staying alive. Then shoot it in absolutely spectacular style - seriously, don't see this anywhere but the movies, and in 3D if you can - and then take the biggest risk of all and hang the whole...

I so love Newton's Law of Gravity and the movie!

Not bad at all. I let myself in with movie and I really enjoyed it. It made me hold on to my seat to keep me feeling firmly grounded. 3D was impressive. You'll look at gravity with renewed appreciation and being in control on the ground a huge relief and blessing. ;)

A word on 'Gravity'...

A word on 'Gravity'... "WOW!" Alfonso Cuaron blew me away with his superb dystopian sci-fi thriller, 'Children of Men' - which features some of the most exhilarating long takes (continuous shots, seemingly with no cuts) I've ever seen. Gobsmackingly good in a "how-the-heck-did-they-just-do-that?!" way. Well, Cuaron just topped that - times a...

visually a state-of-the-art production

Sandra Bullock at her best and George Clooney really only in a minor roll. The one you must see in 3D as it is visually a state-of-the-art production. Alfonso Cuaron directed a masterpiece here that has good chances to become a classic. And a special "Thank You" to him giving the usual American happy, happy, pancake, pancakes "BS" a miss in this one.

The director’s long-overdue follow-up to “Children of Men” is at once a nervy experiment in blockbuster minimalism and a film of robust movie-movie thrills, restoring a sense of wonder, terror and possibility to the bigscreen.

This isn’t just the best-looking film of the year, it’s one of the most awe-inspiring achievements in the history of special-effects cinema. So it’s a shame that – as is so often the case with groundbreaking effects movies – the emotional content can’t quite match up to the visual.

The film thrums with an ongoing existential dread. And yet, tellingly, Cuaron's film contains a top-note of compassion that strays at times towards outright sentimentality.

At once the most realistic and beautifully choreographed film ever set in space, Gravity is a thrillingly realized survival story spiked with interludes of breath-catching tension and startling surprise.

Gravity asks for nothing more than your surrender. Be seated, don your 3D glasses (and 3D is its medium), and let it unfold. No prior knowledge required.
