[REC] 3: Genesis

The third installment in the Spanish horror movie franchise moves out of the apartment building setting of the first two films as the zombie virus breaks loose at a wedding.

Running parallel to the first film in the series, [REC] 3: Genesis reveals that there is more to the mysterious 'infection' than originally thought. On what is meant to be their most special day, newlyweds Clara (Letica Dolera) and Koldo (Deigo Martin) find themselves surrounded by flesh hungry relatives.

Co-director of the of the first two [REC] films, Paco Plaza takes sole charge of directing duties and moves the horror outdoors and into the daylight, while his co-directing partner, Jaume Balagueró, will make his solo contribution with the upcoming [REC] Apocalypse.

Instead of frightening, the resulting gore and cartoonish violence are mostly just gleefully over-the-top.

Taking a weird swerve into rom-zom-com, the third [REC] shaky-horror ends up pulled apart by its own genre mutations.

Zombie prequel distances itself from series with entertaining blend of silliness and scares.

Hmmmmmmmmmm

Hmmmm basically my first thought after watching REC3, on the surface it displays itself as a fairly decent horror movie (i would have enjoyed it more if it wasnt a REC movie), with a somewhat weird comical twist which almost seemed to me like the movie wasnt taking itself seriously which i found off putting. As you dig deeper however things begin to come...
