Reviews & comments

Variety
pressThe graceful camerawork, precise editing and high-quality animation still can’t disguise the lack of imagination that went into the overall conception...

Time Out
pressThe film is frantic and silly and our biggest gripe is that all the penguins look the same.

The New York Times
pressThe lack of originality is offset by sheer silliness, including Classified and Skipper's Abbott and Costello-style argument over whether there's a long I in "diversion." The word fits the movie.

The Guardian
pressAn injection of sugar direct to the pineal gland and woe betide any parent who tries to get their children to take a nap after seeing it.

The Dissolve
pressWhat Penguins Of Madagascar needs is a roomful of ruthless editors to take jokes out of the script...

Hollywood Reporter
pressAll that manic energy ultimately proves to be more exhausting than exhilarating.
