Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker releasing on Disney+ May 4th

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the final chapter in the legendary saga, will release on Disney+ on May the 4th (Star Wars Day) – two months earlier than expected.

The fast-tracked release is the cherry on top of a Star Wars mountain for Disney’s streaming service, which currently holds all the previous chapters of the nine-episode franchise (as well as Rogue One and Solo).

On May 1, The Last Jedi will make its first appearance on Disney+ as will the 11th episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars – The Final Season.

Also releasing on May the 4th is Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, a series that goes behind the scenes of last year’s hit show which includes a roundtable with the various directors including Jon Favreau and Taika Waititi.

Season 2 of Star Wars: Resistance comes out on Star Wars Day too, as does the concluding episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars – The Final Season.
