The Lion King’s belly is not full, gobbling more millions at the NZ box office

With The Lion King continuing to dominate screens in Aotearoa in its second weekend, there wasn’t much of a crowd to please for crowd-pleasing new release Booksmart. Olivia Wilde’s directorial debut entered the ladder in 8th place while cinema concert maestro André Rieu took his Shall We Dance? feature all the way to #2.

Disney will get a proper challenge next weekend with the release of Hobbs & Shaw this Thursday. For now, see the full Aotearoa Top 10 below.
