In the extremely unlikely event you have mistaken Venom for a Nora Ephron rom-com, it’s Sony’s first branching out into a Spidey-verse of side characters (next up Jared Leto as Morbius the Living Vampire). Following up an enormous opening weekend, $2mil is in its sights in coming days—with little current competition, and an untested batch of new releases today, who knows where it will end up when the juggernaut of A Star is Born arrives next week….
