When Destiny, captain of three-time national champions "The Rebels," is challenged to a global cheer showdown by an edgy new team called "The Truth," the Cheer Goddess organises a virtual battle for squads from all around the world.

It's 1990 in South Africa and poor young Spud Milton's off to his first year at an elite boading school in this coming-of-age comedy. Surrounded by crazy, well-to-do schoolmates, he seeks advice from his eccentric, alcoholic English teacher (John Cleese).
