NZ Chooses Alec Baldwin & Glenn Close to Lead a Trump/Clinton Movie

You’re bound to have had at least one conversation about the presidential debates over the month of October. We certainly did, but mainly about who would play Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in a Frost/Nixon-like movie. That was this past month’s Hoyts poll question, and although the vast majority of Kiwis aren’t able to vote in the election, we let you vote in this very important hypothetical.

Vote this week for the best Harry Potter film and win Hoyts tickets!

And the winning candidates are… Alec Baldwin as Trump and Glenn Close as Clinton.

Baldwin claimed just over half the votes, no doubt winning people over with his recent impersonations of Trump. Baldwin was streaks ahead of the second place candidate – an unwashed potato – which scored only 14% of the votes.

Glenn Close had a tougher battle for victory, claiming 30% of the votes. That narrowly beat out SNL veterans Amy Poehler (22%) and Kate McKinnon (21%).

We didn’t run a poll for who should direct the film, but we suggest Liza Johnson who recently directed Elvis & Nixon – an unbelievably true story that still seems far more believable than what we’ve witnessed in the current race for US presidency.
