Ek Tha Tiger can boast of good music & lives up to the reputation of Yash Raj banner. It provides a wide variety of sounds from Arabic to Irish to Middle eastern to latino as the film has been shot over different international locations, i.e Ireland, Cuba, Istanbul etc.
Laapata is my pick of the album. With some amazing latino beats & the fragrance of Cuba, K.K & Palak's soothing rendition has added a new dimension to this romantic track. A must listen for all music lovers. .
Saiyaara is a melodious track that boasts of beautiful poetry by Kausar Munir. Mohit Chauhan has weaved his magic around the song . Tarannum's voice sounds really fresh & gels well with Mohit. The song to watch out for.
Mashallah is another crowd puller. A visual treat as the picturization is superb. The song carries a persian sound & has been shot in a middle eastern location. It seems to be lifted from an Arabic wedding song. Shreya does an awesome job as she gets in sync with this Arabic melody in tandem with Wajid & Benny.
The sounds created by Middle Eastern instruments i.e hand-tapped tambourine, the djembe and the darbuka seems magical.
Banjaara is a high tempo number rendered by Sukhvinder. It's a fast foot tapping number wherein lot of drums, guitars, bongos can be heard. It's got a bit of Irish theme in the tune having been shot in Dublin. The best part is the bag pipes.
Tiger's theme composed by Julius Packiam is awesome. It's a fast paced instrumental track which induces a feeling of mystery or suspense. A musical delight for the young audience.
Sohail Sen leaves his mark as a music director. Sajid-Wajid as guest composers & Julius Packiam with his background score are alos good.
