Written, directed and starring Bruno Podalydès, this 2015 French comedy tells the story of a middle-aged graphic designer's spontaneous decision to buy a canoe and the adventures that follow.
Computer graphics designer Michel (Podalydès) has been fascinated by airplanes since he was young until the day he spies a canoe that looks exactly like a flying machine. Smitten, he secretly buys a canoe without the knowledge of his wife Rachelle (Sandrine Kiberlain). Michel dreams of long, relaxing days with his new purchase so he embarks on a river trip and savours the company of strangers at a waterside cafe.
