Golden Globe 2024 winners and where to watch them

Hollywood’s awards season preening began with the 81st Golden Globes in Los Angeles today, which saw Christopher Nolan’s mighty Oppenheimer and Succession’s last season winning the lion’s share of gongs.

Oppenheimer won Best Film, Director, Score, Actor for Cillian Murphy and Supporting Actor for Robert Downey Jr., while Yorgo Lanthimos’ comedy Poor Things took the other major prizes – Best Musical or Comedy and Best Actress for Emma Stone. Greta Gerwig’s $1 billion-grossing Barbie had 9 nominations, but won only Best Original Song (Billie Eilish) and a token Cinematic and Box Achievement Award.

Lily Gladstone became the first Indigenous Globe winner for her performance in Martin Scorsese thriller Killers of the Flower Moon.

HBO’s Succession took Best Dramatic Series and three acting wins for Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin and Mathew Macfadyen. The Bear and Beef mopped up the rest in the TV categories.

In other news, Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell did an involuntary jig:
