“Prepare for more hyperbole because holy shit, I loved this film” warned Daniel Rutledge’s review, accurately describing Top Gun: Maverick as “the best blockbuster action flick to come out of Hollywood in years.” 30-plus years on from the original, the sequel sees Maverick train a new group of fighter pilots (but surely you know there will be much more to this than Cruise standing at a whiteboard).
