22 Jump Street

After surviving high school, Jonah Hill (star and co-writer) and Channing Tatum return as detectives Schmidt and Jenko going back undercover - this time to infiltrate a university. Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) are also back.

When Jenko (Tatum) meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt (Hill) makes good with the bohemian art major scene, their bromance begins to strain. Now they don't have to just crack the case – they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship.

Bigger and better – 22 Jump Street joins the exclusive list of sequels that out-gun their originals. We’re already knocking at the door of no.23.

Tatum’s performance here is even more puppy-dog lovable than last time, and his scenes with Hill possess a goofy, low-key warmth too often lacking in big-budget comedy.

An exploding piñata of gags, pratfalls, winking asides, throwaway one-liners and self-reflexive waggery.

For once, cranking out a play-it-safe sequel yields something satisfying.

Rare is the film that understands the pleasures of letting an enraged Ice Cube take out his wrath on an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Love this Sequel. It looked so much fun making the movie but it was funnier watching it. So So funny.

Have you ever wanted to record the noises, comments and sounds you or others make during a movie? I thought about this after watching 22 Jump Street. I imagined recording all my laughter, snorts and expletives and tying them together to see how much time I spent in hysterics. If laughter is the best medicine then you will need rehab after this film. Oh...

Laughed quite a bit but not nearly as funny as the first. Definitely worth a watch though.

The team that successfully rebooted 21 Jump Street into the modern era, return to tell the same joke and they do it well. With Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill reprising their roles as ‘Jenko’ and ‘Schmidt’ and the majority of the supporting cast returning, we see 2 years is a long enough for them to come back with the same movie. While it sounds bad, it is...

I enjoyed this laugh a minute film all I wanted and expected was a comedy with a bit of action thrown in and that's what I got... similar one liners, capers and gags from years gone by but they all come together to lend to the laugh value, Tatum and Hill have some seriously good chemistry on screen and work well, its one of those no brainer funny movies you...

I can honestly say that this is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. A much weaker script this time around becomes too self-aware for its own good and the gags are at times plain desperate.

Comedy sequels are known for sucking. Luckily, that isn't the case with 22 Jump Street. Co-written by Jonah Hill and directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller, the creators of The Lego Movie. While maybe not as funny as 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street is a hilarious, entertaining meta buddy-cop comedy. Now that the lovable undercover cops Jenko and Schmidt...
