A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy

A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy

Woody Allen and his wife (Mary Steenburgen) invite two other couples for a weekend party at a summer house in the 1900s countryside.

Centred around a weekend party at the home of inventor Andrew Hobbs (Allen) and his wife Adrian (Steenburgen), attended by randy doctor Maxwell Jordan (Tony Roberts), his nurse Dulcy (Julie Hagerty), renowned philosopher Dr. Leopold Sturgis (José Ferrer) and his fiancée, this is a light comedy concerning their various emotional, intellectual and sexual entanglements, loosely based on Ingmar Bergman's 'Smiles of a Summer Night'.
