This is director Greg Mottola's follow-up to Superbad, about uptight school graduate James (rising star Jesse Eisenberg, The Squid and the Whale) whose dream of a European trip is barred by a lack of cash. Taking a minimum-wage job at a local theme park, James tries to endure the summer at work.

A sweet flick. Reminiscing about the 80s without playing to 80s stereotypes. Good acting performances. Funny. Worth seeing.

I saw this on my Air NZ flights to Canada (Air NZ gets movies before the rest of N does, apparently). I mistook it for a classic 90s film that I had just never encountered. I was surprised to find out that it was of course just recently produced. If you can ignore the relationship of the main actress to Twilight, you might just enjoy it.

It helps if you're indie.
