
Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel
The live-action/computer-animated sequel to Alvin and the Chipmunks, based on Ross Bagdasarian's cartoon characters Alvin,Theodore and Simon.
The Chipmunks are pop sensations but must put aside music superstardom to return to school. But alas! The school's music program is under threat. It can be saved, however, if the Chipmunks win the $25,000 prize in a battle of the bands. The rival? The Chipettes - Brittany, Eleanor and Jeanette. Romantic and musical sparks are ignited when the Chipmunks and Chipettes square off.

Review
Though the first Chipmunk movie was actually quite watchable (from an adult point of view) this is far more tedious and not as funny. Nonetheless, the kids seem to love it (though even them not as much as the first one). The addition of "girl chipmunks" made it more appealing than it would be otherwise to my 6 year old daughter, but as it wasn't quite as...
