Golden Globe winner Richard Gere is a male escort falsely accused of murder in this 1980 crime noir from Oscar-nominated writer Paul Schrader (Taxi Driver).

While mostly catering to an older female clientèle in Los Angeles, Julian (Gere) begins a relationship with the wife of a local politician. Things take a life-altering turn, however, when the murder of one of his clients puts Julian in the suspecting sights of a local detective. Pumped for informantion but unwilling to break the confidential details of his clients, Julian must figure a way to clear his name.
